巴斯大學

　　巴斯大學（University of Bath）是一所以科研為向導的英國頂尖名校，科研實力被評定為世界領先。巴斯大學是全英前10的著名學府，歷年最高排名全英第4（分別于2003年和2015年）。成立于1966年，現任校監為女王伊麗莎白二世的三子 - 愛德華王子, 威塞克斯伯爵。大學位于英格蘭南部的世界遺產城市-巴斯。根據英國各媒體近十年公布的英國大學排行榜，巴斯大學被穩固的確立為英國排行前十的大學。巴斯大學管理學院被公認為英國最好的商學院之一。

　　巴斯大學座落于“世界歷史名城”巴斯之外的美麗鄉村，距離倫敦只有90分鐘的路程。巴斯大學擁有一個多用途、現代化的校園。校園占地面積200英畝，綠野校園上建有學生宿舍及一流的體育設施。在校學生15964人，其中超過25%為外國留學生，學術及社會氣氛朝氣蓬勃。巴斯大學校園內有商店、食品店、銀行、實驗室，演講廳依次環繞中央步行區，族擁著一座矗立的包括大學圖書館和學習中心的現代化計算機大樓。

　　巴斯大學全校人數1.6萬，中國留學生超過2500人。每個學年開始之際，本校的國際辦公室都為留學生安排入校介紹活動，它也包括機場接機服務。海外學生顧問（ISA）為新生安排熟悉環境活動，并全年提供順便走訪的咨詢服務；學生可在保密的情況下，就影響他們的任何問題，得到信息和建議。學生常見的問題有移民、文化適應與想家、就業法規、醫療保健和家庭支持。海外生辦公室全年都組織一系列名勝游覽和社交活動。辦公室利用海外生電子郵件名單通知有關活動的消息。

　　住宿信息

　　本科學生在第一學年可住在校內宿舍。以前從未在巴斯大學求過學的“海外”管理學院研究生也可在學校宿舍里住36周。校內有2000多個不提供伙食的宿舍，而在市中心另有可提供住宿的1000個宿舍。

　　宿舍房型分為標準間、標準帶洗手池標準大房間、標準間帶浴室與衛生間、單人公寓間、雙人公寓間。有單性別和混合性別的公寓間，公用廚房和衛生間。宿舍內均有無線網絡。每個住宿區里都住著幾名住宿導師（一般為博士生），為所有的學生提供幫助和指導。

　　周邊交通

　　巴斯的交通經常很擁堵，最好避免自己開車。很少有學生有車，而且很少有準許停車的地。

　　出行方式

　　公交

　　一般單程票價1.5磅，有多次、月票、季票、年票可選。高峰時期發車間隔時間約為10分鐘，但由于堵車，實際到達時間不定。Wessex公司：U18，X18，U10路均可到達。一般早7:00-晚12:00均有服務。First公司：18路可到達。一般早5:00-半夜3:00均有服務。

　　出租

　　坐出租車從市中心到大學費用是8.00英鎊。

　　火車

　　到Bristol的火車很便宜，有鐵路卡、團體票的情況下5英鎊往返?；疖囃砩蠜]有車次，所以晚間出行不適合坐火車。坐出租回校的費用是35英鎊。巴斯的學生會有一個長途車服務，每周四晚上運行，往返票價為8英鎊，其中包括了各種優惠，比如進入俱樂部。

　　Steve Borthwick- Rugby Union player who played for Bath Rugby before leaving for Saracens. He captained the senior England Rugby Union team between 2008 and 2010.

　　Kate Howey MBE- One of Britain’s greatest judo players, she represented Great Britain at four Olympic Games; winning bronze at Barcelona in 1992 and silver in Sydney. She was selected to carry the British flag at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Olympics in Athens.

　　Michael Jamieson- Michael won a silver medal for Scotland in the 200m breaststroke at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. This was followed by silver at the London 2012 Olympic Games – breaking the 200m breaststroke British record in all three of his swims.

　　Ben Rushgrove- Bronze medal winner in the T36 200m at the 2012 Paralympics, he won silver in the T36 100m event at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.

　　Marilyn Okoro- 400m and 800m runner who made her Olympic debut in Beijing 2008 and represented England at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.

　　Samantha Murray- Samantha won silver for Team GB in the Modern Pentathlon at the London 2012 Olympic Games. She secured her place on the team by winning individual bronze at the 2012 World Championships in Rome.

　　Kelly Gallagher- Winner of the first ever gold medal for Britain on snow. Kelly and her guide Charlotte Evans won the visually impaired Alpine Skiing Super G slalom event at the 2014 Sochi Games.
